I’m in Clearwater Beach, Florida for five days. It’s so nice here! Everywhere is lush and green, and the beaches are like pure, white powder snow. Nice to get away and relax for a few days.

This picture taught me somthing about circular polarisers and vignetting. The vignetting was not as bad as seen in the picture, but where it occured, it was completely opaque. I exaggerated it. I must figure out how to avoid this in the future, and if necessary, buy a more expensive CPL.

The legendarily rainy summer of 2007 created a lot of water, all of which had to go somewhere. These cascades have been dammed and the water is used for electricity production. The cascades are normally dry at high summer – except for this year.

Rain, rain, rain…..the summer of 2007 rained away. It rained near as every day, and not just a little shower, but a steady downpour….Not that a little rain deters my dad from barbecuing :P This picture neatly sums up both my dad and the summer, in a nutshell :P

(In case you wonder, no, the picture is not a fake, he’s making baked potatoes. They’re under the grid.)

The lowest level of the CN Tower in Toronto features an ubercool glass floor. So the picture is not a montage, you can see 300 m or so straight down.

Here’s a skyscraper I shot in Chicago. It looks like it’s been pasted into the picture, and the clouds create surreal light effects on its face.

This is just a test really of this new photoblog system (Yet Another Photoblog) that I installed in WordPress. We’ll see how it works out, but so far I really like it.

I went to the AGM for the Canada Chapter of the Association for Norwegian Students Abroad in Montreal a weekend in March. Not much time to tour the city, but I did get to see some of downtown, including the tunnels and underground mall.

These Canada geese lined up for me on the edge of the Reflecting Pool, in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Toronto seen from the highest observation point of the CN Tower in Toronto, at 446 metres. It was the highest human construction in the world when I visited it (no more – it has been surpassed by the Burj Dubai).
