Here’s a sunset shot. It was so incredibly clear, the colours were really stark. And it was completely quiet… except for the rustling of the wind, the tweeting of birds… not a manmade sound to be heard… very tranquil. I miss that.

Around this time we saw a beaver swimming past. It came back several times. I followed it upriver, and as I came through some bushes I was right on the riverbank, and I saw bubbles right by the shore. I point my camera in that direction and the beaver surfaced, scarcely two metres away! It was more surprised than I was; it made a big splash and disappeared. I got a great picture of the splash. Fun though.

I took this picture of the mall nearby the other day. The sky really was this vibrant, no fakery involved!

Sunset shot from Port Dalhousie in St Catharines, Ontario. I was taking pictures of the sailboat (which I thought would make a nice pictures), when this flock of Canda geese came paddling past, almost as if on cue…

Sunset over the Gulf of Mexico, on Clearwater Beach, FL. Quite pretty. Hmm, the slight tilt is accidental, but I rather like it.

The sunset set the whole horizon afire in Hønefoss, Norway. You see quite a few magnificent sunsets from this location. Too bad about the wire in the foreground, I didn’t have the opportunity to find an unobstructed vantage point.

This was such a perfect shot. It was a warm and sunny evening in September on the Lake Ontario beach in Port Dalhousie, a neighbourhood i St Catharines. I changed the format to panoramic and adjusted the blacks a little bit to create greater contrast (but not much action was needed), but otherwise I haven’t touched it.
