Sebastian is now more than four months old, but his eyes are still of indeterminate colour, though leaning brown. What they do have, however, is very nice definition, which comes out in this b/w conversion.

Well, Sebastian, you’d better get used to having two photographers in the family – sooner better than later. I took this photo in the hospital with Ray’s camera (a D300s, which leaves my puny D80 in the dust).

Talking on Skype on perhaps her last night of  freedom (though, at the time of writing, this remains to be seen), Jenna can at least enjoy the few perks of carrying a baby: a free stand to rest the microphone on (that’s what the big thing in the picture is), or the TV remote, or even a bowl of cereal.

I could write about the wonders of the Notre Dame cathedral (it really is spectacular, though Europe has other, even more awe-inspiring monuments to men’s greed and enterprise). But what you don’t see on every trip to Paris is a man in front of the Notre Dame with pidgeons climbing all over him, clamouring for food. He was there with his family, just an ordinary man that for a few minutes could have fun entertaining the crowd by doing something out of the ordinary.
